Terms & Conditions

 

This agreement sets out the terms and conditions of membership of Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre (Watford Grammar School for Girls) and incorporates the Centre’s rules.  Membership is subject to these Terms and Conditions and at all times conditional upon the Member abiding by the Centre’s rules. Before committing to membership, you should read carefully these Terms and Conditions and the Centre’s Rules.

 

By subscribing to one of our payment plans you are entering a legally binding contract.

Membership

​

  1. Use of the facilities will be available via our online booking system (this can be accessed via the Fuller Life Health and Fitness place on the Wix app and/or online via our website) after you have subscribed to one of our payment plans and after an Induction session conducted by our Fitness Instructor.

  2. In order to receive the Family discount rate, members must all live at the same address and payment must be from one bank account.

  3. Applicants for membership must all be at least 16 years old.

  4. In applying for membership the Member warrants and represents that he/she is in good physical condition and that he/she is capable of all forms of exercise and that such exercise would not be detrimental to his/her health. Members must complete a Health Questionnaire before using the facilities.

Subscriptions

​

  1. Joining and Membership fees will be fixed by the Centre and may be altered at any time with one month’s written notice. Member’s fees are payable annually or monthly. If in the first 14 days of membership the Member is unhappy with the service or facilities a full refund can be given.

  2. All Membership applications must be made by subscribing to one of our payment plans. We reserve the right to reject an application for membership or refuse admission. In this instance a full refund will be issued. Monthly and annual payments will be collected via your PayPal account.

  3. Monthly payments must be paid regardless of how frequently the facilities are used.

  4. In the event that a payment collection fails because a member’s card is cancelled or expires, or when there are insufficient funds to cover the subscription, then this   automatically cancels the membership. This can be reinstated with a new card to purchase a new plan.      

  5. Your membership plan subscription will be renewed automatically and billed to your PayPal account at the beginning of each subscription period. Subscriptions for Annual Membership have the benefit of a 10% discount the level of discount from time to time in effect may vary and is entirely at the discretion of Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre (Watford Grammar School for Girls).

  6. All members must give one month’s notice in writing to cancel, during which time membership fees continue to be due.

  7. Refunds cannot be given after the first 14 days of membership.  However, memberships can be suspended in the case of pregnancy, prolonged ill health, long trips, or at the discretion of the Centre Manager. A request for a membership to be suspended must be made to the Centre Manager and cannot be granted retrospectively. Notification of suspension must be received by us 10 days before the next payment is due. This option is only available after 3 months of active membership.

  8. Members paying an annual subscription may change their membership category during the period of subscription. Requests should be made in writing no later than the 24th day of the month before the change is requested to take effect. The subscription fee will adjusted from the 1st day of the following month. The Centre reserves the right to refuse an application for change of membership.

  9. Entry to the Centre is permitted only at the Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre reception entrance, where members are required to sign in at the reception desk.

  10. Membership cards are not transferable. Lost or stolen cards will be replaced at a fee of £5.00 per card. Misuse of cards by members may result in termination of membership.

  11. On Termination of their membership, the Member shall return forthwith their membership card.

  12. There is limited availability of Badminton courts, please check the timetable and book your court via the Fuller Life Health and Fitness place on the Wix app or online, courts are on a first come, first served basis. All guests MUST pay £5.00 at reception and collect a receipt on arrival. Subject to availability non-members are required to make payment at reception before securing a court.

  13. Please cancel or reschedule AT LEAST 24 hours before your pre-booked session.

Opening Hours

​

  1. The Centre reserves the right to change availability of facilities or opening hours. Members can only use the facilities within the stated hours of their membership.

  2. As we are a school, first and foremost, we reserve the right to close the Centre on some school events. Members will be notified via the app, website, and the Centre notice boards of any closure.

  3. Our weekday opening hours during term time are Monday to Friday 5.00pm - 10.00pm changing to 4.00pm - 10.00pm during half term and school holidays.  Saturday  and Sunday hours - 8.00am to 2.00pm. 

  4. In the event that the Centre is required to close all or part of its facilities as a result of general refurbishment work or damage, any refunds will be made at the sole discretion of Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre (Watford Grammar School for Girls).

 

Free parking is subject to availability whilst using FullerLife facilities. On match days when the school car park is used by Watford Football Club supporters, car parking for the Fitness Centre will be limited. On weekends when match day kick-offs are at 12:30 the FullerLife site will be closed at 10:30am. Please vacate the car park at this time. The school also reserves the right to limit car parking spaces based on internal events.

Liability

​

Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre (Watford Grammar School for Girls)’s liability for damage or loss to a member’s property is strictly limited to damage or loss suffered as a result of the negligence of Fuller Life Health and Fitness, its staff or its agents. Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre (Watford Grammar School for Girls) will not accept any liability for any accident or injury (including any fatality) to any member, child, guest or visitor that may occur on the premises or within the grounds of the Centre other than liability which may arise from the negligence of Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre (Watford Grammar School for Girls), its staff or its agents. All such incidents must immediately be reported in accordance with the Centre’s rules.

Rules and Regulations

​

  1. The Member agrees to abide by the Centre’s Rules.

  2. Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre (Watford Grammar School for Girls) reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership if a member’s conduct is in breach of the Centre’s rules.

  3. Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre (Watford Grammar School for Girls) may alter the Centre’s Rules at any time. Alterations to the Centre’s Rules will be notified via the app, website, and the Centre notice boards, which will constitute due notice of all such changes.

  4. Lockers are provided for use on a daily basis. Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre (Watford Grammar School for Girls) may remove any items left overnight in a locker. These contents can be claimed from the reception. Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre (Watford Grammar School for Girls) will not be responsible for any unclaimed items after six weeks.

Data Protection and Security, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Data Protection Act 2018

Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre (Watford Grammar School for Girls) acts as a Data Controller in accordance with its obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) / Data Protection Act 2018. Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre (Watford Grammar School for Girls) collects and holds your data under the terms of its Privacy Notice for the purposes of providing the services which you have requested under your membership of the Centre, and for other lawful purposes as described in the Privacy Notice. You can find the Privacy Notice and related Watford Grammar School for Girls policy documents on Data Protection, Information Security and monitoring systems (CCTV) online here:  Fuller Life Health & Fitness Privacy Policy or you can ask for a copy at the Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre.  

 

In addition to the Privacy Notice for Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre members, your attention is drawn in particular to the monitoring systems (CCTV) policy which is in force over the whole of the School premises.

 

You should note that as part of your membership you will receive an informational newsletter by email from time to time, usually once per month, giving details of classes and information about the Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre. This newsletter will not be used for marketing. If you do not wish to receive this newsletter, please contact the Fuller Life Health and Fitness Centre reception in the first instance.

Governing Law

​

This agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Terms andConditions

Code of Conduct

​

  • Members must be a minimum 16 years old to use the fitness suite.

 

  • No children allowed in any of the workout areas at any time.

 

  • No food is to be consumed, or drink (unless in an appropriate sports bottle).

 

  • Please ensure you wear suitable clothing and footwear for your workout.

 

  • Please respect other users and share the gym equipment, using only one machine at any one time.

 

  • Please ensure all machines are wiped down using the cleaning equipment provided, paying special attention to any handles or grips.

 

  • Please ensure you respect other members by ensuring your personal hygiene levels are kept to a high standard.

 

  • Please ensure you return any equipment used, including: dumbbells, barbells, weight plates, bands and any other equipment.

 

  • The use of mobile phones for making or taking calls or texting and emailing is not permitted whilst using equipment.

 

  • Please ensure your personal noise level is kept to a minimum during exercise( e.g. grunting and shouting along with personal music levels)

 

  • Members must abide by instructions related to health, safety and appropriate conduct as issued by the fuller staff and must also follow written health and safety instructions.
